Puste Noce (meaning Empty Nights) is an old custom of singing mourning songs during the night before the funeral in the home of the deceased. The singers gather round the coffin to give the person a traditional send-off. Puste Noce is a disappearing custom in Poland.

A room in the house of the deceased laid out to host Ostatnia Kawa, which means Last Coffee. During Puste Noce, family and friends gather to share Ostatnia Kawa, their final meal with the person to be buried the following day.

Keeping Up With the Kashubians (2015) is a short observational film taking place in Kashubia, a rural region in northern Poland.
It is my first short documentary film and formed part of an MA in Visual Anthropology at Goldsmiths College.
Awarder Paul Watson Award for the best MA film of the year.
